The first book was okay but I did not enjoy the rest of the series. Honestly, it was very boring and not a lot happened. The most interesting parts of the series were the flashbacks and although, I don’t mind flashbacks, I think a book can’t depend on them to hold the only interesting aspects of the series. I didn’t like any of the characters either. They all came off as immature teenagers trying to pass for adults.

I didn’t feel the connection between Sunshine and the guys. I also didn’t like how long it took them to come to terms with her dating all of them and it didn’t feel like a reverse harem at all. I get that it isn’t a conventional relationship and there should be some reservations on the relationship but the issues and jealousy the guys had within the relationship shouldn’t have worked out the easily.

I wish I could say more about this book and series but honestly, I forget a lot of it already and I just finished it. Overall, I didn’t hate this series but I didn’t really enjoy it either. So, I’m not saying don’t read it but maybe put it to the bottom of your TBR.

I love this series so much. We've got interesting and high stakes actions, layers upon layers of character connections and backstories and secrets and unclear motivations, an incredibly well-rounded harem of men that I genuinely care about equally (like seriously, they are all awesome), and a kick-a herione that is both tough and vulnerable all at once.

This RH felt a bit atypical to me in a great way in that the RH wasn't a natural fit for a lot of them at first. Sunshine herself didn't understand her past feelings and perhaps felt connected romantically to one of them more than the others, the men all had complicated and at times conflicting relationships with each other, not all of them are always on equal footing in the relationship, and not all of them are equally comfortable- which feels far more interesting, realistic, and complex than other "super easy" RH configurations. The RH is as much relationally driven as situationally -even though all of them had feelings for Sunshine, it is the passage of time and dire situations that push them over the edge into the RH world. The path isn't easy, for each of them as characters and even more so for them as a group.

I also love how complex each character is- Coralee is a pro at creating characters who are rich in history, rich in emotion, and are nuanced and specific- each uniquely drawn. Everyone is flawed, but everyone is perfect for each other. While I definitely have a soft spot for Blaise, and Gavriel gets me the hottest, I like how each of them is created in such a way that there aren't favorites. Sure, there definitely is one who is a bit more in the drivers seat, but they each play their own roles, and I appreciate a RH where the characters are all complex enough to be interesting and magnetic- I love them all.

And i love Sunshine. I want to be here, I want to be her best friend. She's a wonderful heroine and center of this story.

Can't get enough of this series!

Honestly, it was very boring and not a lot happened. The most interesting parts of all the flipping books  were the flashbacks and although, I don’t mind flashbacks, I think a book can’t depend on them to hold the only interesting aspects of the series. It was like the whole plot was riding on thr flashbacks I didn’t like any of the characters either. And the only ine i liked in the first book was just boring by the third book. They all came off as immature teenagers trying to pass for adults, so flipping annoying. It was like there was no connection between Sunshine and the guys. I also didn’t like how long it took them to come to terms with her dating all of them and it didn’t feel like a reverse harem at all. I get that it isn’t a conventional relationship and there should be some reservations on the relationship but the issues and jealousy the guys had within the relationship shouldn’t have worked out the easily, like really if you had that many problems to start with I don't seee the point in going on with the relationshiahip. It felt like a love square that was just written horribly.

This was a 4 star trilogy.

I started reading another RH series by Coralee and I will admit that I stopped after book 2 because the series was starting to become "meh", however, you can really see Coralee's improvement as a writer with this series.

This was a pretty good RH. It had action, angst and lots of smut. What made this different from her 1st RH series is that she keeps the group together throughout the entire series, once they find each other, there is no separation or people trying to keep them apart for their own gain, everything they face, they face as a unit.

I would recommend this one to RH lovers out there.
