This was… fine. I’ve never really liked poison ivy as a character. She just feels like a stereotype. This did a good job giving her a backstory that felt like a believable supervillain origin. Well, hand-wavy science aside.

while I resonate with the constant sexualization and exploitation of the female body, as Pamela/Ivy suffered at both home and school, the story as a whole felt heavy-handed and lacking nuance. I think I also just personally didn’t vibe with the art style that sometimes switched into anime-like expressions clashing with the overall gothic atmosphere.
