Lucy Clarke…. She’s quickly becoming one of my fav thriller authors. Just.. wow! I admit she’s excellent in creating red herrings! And though I guessed one mystery right very quickly, I missed so many others and was audibly gasping and talking to the book towards the end! It’s such a fantastic read and I highly recommend it! Also, always remember the third and most important rule: what happens at the hen party, stays there! 🤐🤐

After reading The Castaways I was excited to read this and it didn't disapoint. It was more if a thriller than Castaways with so many twists and secrets between the different characters. Set in the idyllic mamma mia style Greek mountains for a hen weekend which hinted at disaster throughout. It didn't become clear till the end who the victim would be or why they were even there. It was nice to see the true focus of the book on friendship and even by the end they all covered up for Eleanor because of friendship. The plot twists were good and how all the different storys of the characters intertwined but it did prove predictable even if it still captivated me. Also by the end my opinion of all the characters changed I thought Bella was the most self centred person in the world but ended up feeling sorry for her the most.

I loved this fast paced, twisty, psychological thriller. It was a quick read, binge-worthy, with a pretty good twist ending that reminded me a bit of Big Little Lies (Iykyk). This was my first Lucy Clarke book, I can’t wait to read more by her. I loved the setting of Greece, the bachelorette party (hen do) as they call it in England. The short alternating chapters kept the pace of the book moving. This one kept me turning pages wondering what was going to happen at the end. All the characters had secrets which also made the plot line more interesting. This had all the elements of a good thriller: lies, secrets, and one person who will unravel it all. Definitely pick this one up if you’re looking for a quick read by the pool or the beach! Thank you Netgalley and G.P. Putnam Sons for the e-galley in exchange for an honest review!
