This part of The Dragoneers Saga is really action-packed, but you come through some very interestingly depicted characters as well. For example, introductions of Marcherion and Lemmy (who is probably my favourite character right after Zah) are nicely covered in the story. However, there could be more developed Linux and Lanxe POV. I wasn’t quite persuaded about the quality of the book in the beginning (in part II called Moonlit Serpent Shit), but it gets better when you begin feel thrill about the Confliction and there are some clever details (e.g.: Clover in connection with Dragoneers emblem). In ‘Cold Hearted Son Of A Witch’ the biggest ‘bad WTF’ moment (see my review of ‘The Royal Dagoneers’) is probably when you find out that those nasty cannibalic Sarax come out of steel star ship. It somehow doesn’t fit the whole story – to me at least, connection of dragons and aliens doesn’t work.

*I received the book for free through Goodreads First Reads.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I love books about magic and dragons and this book did not disappoint. I finished this book in one day, I absolutely could not put it down! This book had me neglecting my household duties as I couldn't wait to find out what happened next.

I was riveted from the very first sentence. Dragons Druids Magic awesome fight scenes this book has it all. I did feel a little lost at first as I didnt realize it was the second book in a series. I caught on very quickly and was drawn into such a vivid world. I felt I know the characters and was emotionally invested in what happened to them.

The writer definitely understands how to grab your imagination and take it on a wild ride. Buckle up! This book will not disappoint you in your quest to find a new and enchanting world.
