All is fair in love and war, and The Passion shines a light on how both of those things can impact a person’s life. The story in itself didn’t do all that much for me, but this book is extremely well written and there are certainly many lessons/quotes to ponder upon. I’ll gladly read more by Jeanette Winterson.
Moderate: Addiction, Alcoholism, Animal death, Bullying, Death, Gun violence, Infidelity, Mental illness, Misogyny, Physical abuse, Rape, Sexism, Sexual assault, Torture, Violence, Forced institutionalization, Blood, Grief, Cannibalism, Death of parent, Murder, Alcohol, War, and Injury/Injury detail
