I have never had a book rip my heart out the way this one has. This left me extremely uneasy, almost sorrowful and with a major book hangover. There’s so many questions I have, so many things I want more detail on. I loved this book so much but I also hate it with every fiber of my being.

Damn, it’s too bad the last time I read anything written by Shakespeare was literally 8 years ago…
Also
I thought the detective was gonna be waaaay more involved in the past story, the way they were talking in every prologue

i need to reread this to make up my mind about how to feel about it. for the most part this book felt like a the secret history rip-off but the final surprised me so i’m willing to give another try.

update 2024: years has passed and didn't feel like rereading so let's just say this book was not for me.
