Reading these books to prepare for the movie, though I wasn't happy to hear that the movie is based on all 5 books! They're cute, easy to read, adventure-fairy books, which makes them good for lots of different kids to read. Amusing.

I read these as a kid and came across them on libby and decided to re-read. Little nostalgic trip down memory lane.

This book is like a juvenile nasturtium, up from the ground in the early morning.

I've always been a huge fan of Holly Black's and I was curious about this middle grade series. I know that there was a movie released about it and thought this would be a fun quick read. Which it was. The first book appears to set everything up for the rest of the series and it's intriguing enough that I want to go read the other books right away. The drawings that accompany the text add to the story itself, especially since faeries and such are discussed.
