Too slow, seems like a lot of pointless exposition without much true direction or anything to keep me wanting to come back.

I liked it! I just could not wrap my head around how Anne was SO talented that they just had to orchestrate her employment at one of the top museums in the world. She spoke seven languages but barely used any in the book, she really didn't seem that smart to me so it wasn't super believable.

I would give this a 3.5 ⭐️ rounded down.

You all know that I am a dark academic enthusiast, so this book definitely pulled me in. It’s mysterious and unsettling - much like the tarot cards these characters rely on.

Now, this was a pretty predictable read. Like, I was audibly saying, “Anne, come on. Put the pieces TOGETHER!” The ending was a little too quick for my liking. I wanted DRAMA! But, instead, well … you’ll find out for yourself.

good but so slow and so full of like "pity me pity me" sentiments :/

buuuut then again the blurb made it out to be like the cards would be a mysterious discovery and that there would be more supernatural elements.

very atmospheric though!

Spoiler would have loved it so much more if it leaned into the codependency of the characters, the hunt for a serial killer, the race against time to publish

plot twist was CRAZY though did not see that coming at all
