Takes far too long to get to the excitement, and for an espionage story the characters and plot lack a sense of intrigue that makes one want to read more...

Daaamn, this is the first book that I read in english, back when I was 13 or 14. It was so hard to move from page to page back then! Anyway it's your regular crappy Cold-War-paranoia fueled adventure story about a spy stealing a new super MiG fighter plane THAT CAN READ THOUGHTS. That's right. There's also a movie about it with Clint Eastwood... I think I saw the ending on TV once. I don't think it was particularly good either.

Suspenseful read interwoven with action, murder, and deceit. The race against a tight deadline storyline kept my attention.

Firefox (Mitchell Gant, #1) by Craig Thomas

Craig Thomas was one of my first "grown up" reads. Loved his books then, still enjoy them now all these years later. Buddy read with my mother while she is recovering from her 4 months in hospital.
A techno thriller of its day. Cold War. KGB. USSR. Mitchell Gant. Have read this series a few times over the years and still enjoy it.
Review to come.
