It held my interest, while not particularly loving any of the characters they are interesting. Absolutely worth reading more in the series but I’m not sure how many more will continue to hold my interest.

Very early entry in the recent neuvo-vampire movement and this is one of the best I think. Not much more to say except that the vampires are the scary kind of vampires not the nice kind.

I needed something to cleanse my palate after reading The Passage with book club. This is much more my cup of tea - give me a grizzled spy, a murder mystery, and PRETTY VAMPIRES. :D

I'm really surprised I like this book because I don't care for vampire books AT ALL. I think the reader had a lot to do with it as well as the great relationship between James and his wife. We don't see much of her, but what a great character she is!
