Like Tiny Pretty Things, this was actually a hard book to read at times. It's hard for me to fathom the vicious things these girls did to each other, and how they treated themselves just to be the best at ballet. But I enjoyed the read and the variety of characters, and some loose ends from the first book being tied up. (Read for Book Riot Live 2016)

Please know before you go to pick this book up that it is chock full of drama and a lot of common triggers including but not limited to: eating disorders in graphic detail, body horror, animal death, bullying, abuse (physical, emotional, sexual, substance), gaslighting, mental health, self harm, suicide attempts.

This book is for those who are a fan of the mean girls & high school drama trope. A fast paced, very action sequenced tale told from three alternating POVs of high-school aged girls training to become prima ballerinas. It is VERY different from the Netflix show, although the vibe is pretty similar. Be mindful when/if you choose to read this that it deals with A LOT of heavy themes. Happy reading.

I'm disappointed in YA authors that support John Green, after how he attacked a teenager online for mentioning (not tagging, someone else did that) him in a post.http://fishingboatproceeds.tumblr.com/post/121316109713/mattcatashpole-astro1995#notes
