I liked the small-town wedding story and the recipes, I will try some. The other stuff in this book is for real fans. I couldn't answer all the trivias haha
I also liked the A guide to the World of Sookie Stackhouse part, because I don't remember all the characters of the saga, there are too many, and for the next books I think it will be very handy.

I wasn’t sure what to expect for this awesome book that Charlaine Harris created for all the Sookie fans in the world but now I can’t wait to get my hands on my own copy to add to my collection.

Chocked full of exclusive and never before revealed information on Sookie Stackhouse and the life of Bon Temps, plus an all new short story and an interview with the HBO TV show creator, Alan Ball.

Whatever I was expecting, this was so much better and more fun. Finding out the deep dark secrets plus more answered questions was the perfect book for all Sookie fans.

You must check it out!

The novella is great, 5 stars, but the rest of it seems unnecessary.

Enjoyed the novella of Sam’s sister’s wedding. That was fun and gave great insite on how Quinn met the Tigress. I also LOVED the secret dialogues between Eric and Bill.

The novella is good but not essential. The day by day synopsis of the series timeline is a little odd; minor details are included that aren't really relevant. And quite a few pages are filled with recipes, a a trend in mysteries that isn't my thing. But if you are looking to refresh your memory about the series, the book can be useful!

The only parts of this book worth reading were the book time lines and the short story of Sam's brother's wedding.

Besides that just a lot of stuff to fill pages. Disappointing.

“Small-Town Wedding” is worth the read, but the rest of the book is pointless if you’ve read the remainder of the series.

I'm mostly only reviewing the short story here. The rest of the companion is for die-hard fans of the universe, but I don't consider those additions part of my review/recommendation. If you're interested in only reading the short story, I do recommend it for the character development of Sookie and Sam's friendship as the series draws to a close.

This is indeed a great companion to the Sookie Stackhouse books. Containing a map of Bon Temps (Jason lives THAT far out?!?), a timeline breakdown for every book through "Dead Reckoning", question and answer sections for both Alan Ball (pretty much the only thing that includes the "True Blood" TV series as opposed to the book series) and Charlaine Harris, and Sookie's family tree, the book also includes a great index of characters and traits and private correspondence between Bill and Eric that had me chuckling out loud. It also includes recipes, which I'd probably try out if cooking interested me.

I'm gonna buy this and keep it with me when I reread the books and read all future Sookie books.
