This was a 3.5 for me but I’m rounding down. I thought there were a few stories that were pretty good but I was not happy with the majority. Unfortunately, there were only a handful I really enjoyed.

Short story collections are always a mixed bag of highs, lows, and forgettable.  I enjoyed some of the interpretations of Marple.  A few stories had diverse characters and settings, which was nice to read.  One had a solution that I really didn't care for at all because I don't think Christie would have done that to that character (others may feel free to disagree).  Stories that I especially liked, either for their own sake or because they felt like "Christie" were by Kate Mosse, Jean Kwok, Elly Griffiths, Natalie Haynes, and Dreda Say Mitchell.  I would love to see a version of this for Poirot, told by modern authors!

I received an ARC copy of this book in a Goodreads giveaway.
I don’t think I like this style of mystery. I admire what the authors did in evoking Christie’s style, but I was just very bored and don’t think this book is for me.
