This was very fun!!! I actually laughed at a couple panels and the Nightwatch arc at the end was incredibly compelling even though I never read the first volume. I enjoyed the art and the characters' interactions with each other. Hellcat was very fun to read with her conflicts against Jen and her side comments. Captain America's court case that took up a bulk of the volume was a bit redundant and slow, but I'd read another She-Hulk for sure!

Could have been better, but could have been worse. The art was bad. The writing only okay. The stories small but not really character studies which would have made them fine. The Captain America story had potential but was basically pointless and She Hulk just wasn't all that interesting in it. The book ended up readable just not very interesting. It's clearly hard to get a real character driven story written in the Marvel Universe for any number of characters. Certainly She Hulk is one of those - she has two obvious sides of her and Hulk Smash and Lawyer Bore are not ones that lend themselves to something good to read. At least other She Hulk books are better.

the end to the cap storyline kinda rubbed me the wrong way
like i know he's a good guy! marvel is mostly built on the premise of cap being a good guy.* but i feel like there are a lot of prominent situations of 'good guys' having been found to do some pretty awful things so the fact that so much of jen's legal defense for him consisted of her being like 'remember folks this is captain america, a military hero! military heroes obviously never do anything wrong ever and you know he couldn't have done it' gave me a distinct case of the oogies
anyways it was a decently entertaining volume otherwise though the end felt pretty rushed. 3 stars
*except under nick spencer who can go suck an egg

5* because I would die on a battlefield for Jennifer Walters (not that it would come to that. Jen would have the villains hauled up in front of an international tribunal - after flooring them with a superior roundhouse kick, of course)
ANYWAY, point is, I love She-Hulk, I love Charles Soule's witty, intelligent writing, I love the colour blocking and bold shapes of Javier Pulido's art. I am so so sad that this is the end of the line for this current iteration.
Marvel is doing some very cool things with comics at the moment and I hope that they see their way to continuing this series in a new volume as they did with Captain Marvel.

The cancelation of this series is a CRIME. We have Hank Pym attacked by a bird, Hellcat being a sneak their, and delicious procedural courtroom drama. The end of it seems pretty hasty, but I understand that was out of the writers' hands.

This comic picks up where volume 1 left off. She Hulk, Jennifer Walters, is back at it and trying to bring justice into the light. Ant Man makes an appearance in this issue(but, like Captain America in the first, I didn’t really like the story-line).
That’s about all I’ve got for this synopsis, since this volume was even duller than the first.
Wow, it is amazing how much I DON’T have to say about this collection.
It was filled with the same complaints I had from the first volume, minus the crazy, unfitting artwork. There was too much text and not enough action. I also felt that in this one Soule really dumbs down the storyline for his readers. I don’t know if he does this because of all the law jargon, but it makes the story read at a very middle-grade level.
Not that comics are typically straining to read or anything, but this audience felt to young for the one it was aimed at.
Overall, I was bored and eager to finish this book. It was so dull, even now I can’t remember what happened in this story.
I’m sad these two books didn’t mesh with me because I was so excited to read them. I love it when authors try to revive lesser-known heroes and villains, but, in this case, it definitely did not work.
I definitely do not recommend this books. I totally understand why it was cancelled. Even if it hadn’t been, I wouldn’t have picked up any more of the series.

Review of She Hulk, Vol. 1: Law and Disorder

So volume two of the Charles Soule She-Hulk run I wish it lasted longer because I think it would’ve been interesting. Seeing more cases like the Captain America case I find really good. It’s a good Captain America story that takes up most of the book. There’s also a fun starting adventure with Seahawk and Patsy having a honey, I shrunk the kids like adventure. The final two issues are where I have where they brings back the blue case file. the 11th issue is basically a long fight which is frustrating because The fight takes a valuable page space and doesn’t really fit the vibe of the series. there’s been action but not to this extent, and than the last issue is an info dump about who is the villain is behind the blue case file, which I don’t really care about because the series didn’t really give enough time for me to care about it It focused on more interesting in your cases than the blue file so I’d rather them done a more interesting, standalone case than wrapping up a storyline that the writer didn’t seem to have the time to do. I would love to see the same back on she hulk, who knows maybe in another time, but this series made me a fan of the character and got me into comics, so I’ll always have a bit of roasted the glasses for it even though looking back on it now. It isn’t as perfect as I remember it.
