this book hit home in a lot of ways. sloane’s people pleasing tendency was so relatable and the daddy issues on top of that? girl, same. and then jasper’s depression was relatable too. together, they were probably my fave chestnut springs couple so far, jasper is def my fave man.
this book started out super fast paced, the middle felt a little slow to me and then the end picked up again and i was left swooning. another solid installment in this small town series :) i was glad for another view of the eatons with them being jasper’s found family

I loved this but so far it's my least favourite out of the series. I love Jasper and Sloane but maybe I just don't vibe with the friends to lovers trope, I just couldn't get behind the romance and connection, I didn't feel it. I still enjoyed it and Silver honestly writes the best smut scenes I've ever read o m gggggg. I liked jaspers character development and how Sloane comes out of herself and becomes an strong independent woman who doesn't need to rely on shitty men like didn't realise she was doing, because they had her 'best interests at heart.'
The thing I love most in this book was the female friendships and sense of found family. Harvey and Jasper 🥹 Jasper and the brothers 🥹. That makes me heart MELT. and also seeing the other characters we've met and known and loved - that I swoon over. And also the friendships made between the women in the book, up ok violets ranch and back home with Willa, Summer, Sloane and Winter. Beautiful. Can't wait for Winter's book (started it as soon as I finished 🤣)
