Still not a Magnus Bane fan, but this was nice.

Not bad, but not spectacular either. Alec is so much different in The Bane Chronicles than he is in The Mortal Instruments. He is far too shy and nervous here for my liking. I think it's universally true that YA fans like the badass character more than all other. And out of all the Downworlders, the werewolves are my least favourite and the most uninteresting.

Okay, cioè come potevo dare meno di cinque stelline?! Insomma stiamo parlando dell'evento del secolo *_*.
Troppo dolci, davvero troppo <3

I decided to skip the order of the stories and just read what I wanted because it was really quite late...
Aaah this was definitely one of my favorites!!! I've always wanted to find out more of Alec's and Magnus's relationship and their first date was absolutely adorable!!! I'm not going to spoil anything so all I'm gonna say is that I want more!!!!

This book is full of wonderful and horrible things, but I'm here for it. I want to read more random dates from Magnus and Alec, but at the same time I'd like it to not be so cringey and not well-written. This story was a mess, but I'm still here for the content.

You know idc that this YA but the fact that Magnus has lived 100s of years and is still so wholesome and kind warms my heart <3 and because he's a sag, it makes me think that there is hope for me after all.

Also, I love chaotic first dates

Tienes un buen corazón debajo de toda esa purpurina.

Después de mi trágica experiencia con TMI, es una alegría sobrecogedora volver a leer algo interesante. Magnus Bane, eres mi salvación.

I madly, truly loved this bookend story to our whole roller coaster with Magnus. I love just how terribly uncertain and certain everyone is, and how they keep messing up from both sides, and that outside world is not helping him them in the slightest really. But the nugget of gold at the center, that feeling of newness and wanting, is so fragile and raw and true. I love that we see a shadow hunter helping someone for no more reason than to help, and I like the tenuous feeling of hope and fledging joy at the end.

Definitely one of my favorite snippets of the series.
