I thought this was a solid follow up for Wrong Place Wrong Time. Now, this one didnât have anything lurk time travel. Instead, it felt like a police proceduralânot a thriller. I like those, so I really enjoyed this!
One thing that is worth discussing is how the setting influences the whole plot. I feel like this plot would not work in the USA? just food for thought.

My first book by this author and possibly my last. Felt chaotic, felt like she was trying to lead us down so many paths so when the twist came we werenât expecting it. But when the twist came I was still trying to get to know the characters so it fell flat.
Also, the ending was extremely far fetched which only made it fall flatter.

âHow could anyone say sheâs missing if she wasnât ever seen?â
I had mixed feelings about this one. The pacing was off (the beginning moved too slow; the ending felt rushed), and it took me longer than it should have to feel interested in the storyline.
Eventually, things picked up and the twists & reveals got interesting, but a lot of things at the end felt unlikely and implausible, and I was left with lots of questions.
