Wow that could have been a lot worse. Actually the story and the art were not bad. The idea behind the story and the art was more the problems. It's hard not seeing Marvel killing off future Inhumans as related to the MCU. But then again this is Marvel, nothing is fixed, nothing is consistent. There were definitely pieces I liked including Young Jean Grey keeping Karnak busy for three days. But the too quick end to the conflict was not a place. And yes of course Emma Frost is evil, but whatever.

Neat art, especially loved the Storm design! Powerful characters used in creative ways, action/battle packed!

2021 Summer (July);
Reread of Baby!Jean Arc

Most of these were read in a blur of summer bliss in a hammock in a backyard garden as I finally followed up on my original reads of the baby!Jean storyline that I'd gotten half into before falling out of again. I really do continue to love this storyline mostly for her.

This storyline all across was pretty *meh* to me, sadly. I didn't feel a lot for the Inhumans the way I usually do, which is a surprise and there weren't a lot of the kid!X-Men that were crossed-over through their title.

It's a bit too dramatic, and the conflict was not that thought-provoking. Well anyway, we just like to see them bang their heads against each other.

I liked this more than I expected, surprisingly enough. With X-Men comics since the Secret War reboot being...less brilliant than ever in recent memory, I thought very little of this event. Enjoyed the action for the most part.

The thing is, this really could've been solved by a few-minute long conversation between Medusa and Storm. Would Emma go so far in her quest for vengeance as this book portrayed her to? I'm...not sure.
Did Crystal one-hit Magneto just so Emma could take hold of his mind? Eh.

If you don't think about it, it's fun. If you do...the problems start piling up. That's the problem with Marvel events lately. Here's to hoping the X-Men titles get their second wind sooner rather than later.

I enjoyed this one but agreed with other commenters below. More super groups fighting other super groups out of character.
