LOVE IS REAL. I cannot begin to explain how much I loved this book. I'm currently unable to see the person I love so I ended up with tears in my eyes almost every time I finished one of these stories because of how much they made me think about him. Also most of these stories are beautifully written and made my heart flutter with their cuteness. I'm giving it five stars in spite of the 1 star stories because they weren't actually terrible but compared to the others they were completely forgetable. I would reccomend reading this whole anthology just for "The Unlikely Likelihood Of Falling In Love" alone so the good stories in here are worth reading the mediocre ones.

Also I'm SO HAPPY for the sapphic rep. I was a little surprised that it was the only lgbt rep but pleasantly so because many times I've seen an overwhelming love for mlm stories but not wlw, I'm glad that was not the case here. Here's a tip, I imagined all the characters as poc unless it was explicitly stated otherwise (for example "pale skin" doesn't necesarily has to mean white but "white girl" does), it just made the experience so much more enjoyable. Please, please, pleaseee read this adorable little book.

This book was so cute and feel-good, if you’re in need of a rom-com (or 14 of them) I definitely recommend this book!

Here are my ratings for the short stories (possible spoilers ahead)

Siege Etiquette by Katie Cotugno - 4 stars
This is one of the few stories I’ve ever read through 2nd person pov and I found it was a really interesting way for this story to be told through. I loved the classic high-school party setting and Wolf’s personality. Although, I did find the main character a bit unlikeable. The twist at the end was heartbreaking though and it made me empathize with Hailey. All in all, a good story to start this anthology!

Print Shop by Nina LaCour - 4.5 stars
I absolutely loved the plot and setting of this story. The romance was super cute and all around this was a great read. However, I did find that there was less character development in this story than some of the others which disappointed me.

Hourglass by Ibi Zoboi - 2 stars
This story completely erased itself from my memory. Neither a developed main character nor a plot, this story fell through. I was so confused around the college theming as the main character was back and forth between two colleges and then thought it was a sign that her love interest was going to a college in the town they were in. ???? Just all in all a confusing story that quickly became my least favorite.

Click by Katharine McGee - 4.75 stars
Give me a Katharine McGee story and I will be happy. Loved the NYC setting, the Click app, the characters, and the plot twist at the end. The taxi driver was adorable and I loved Alexa’s development.

The Intern by Sara Shepard - 3 stars
This felt like a fan-fic. The storyline and main character were eye roll worthy, however the writing and emotions were very well written. A story that was neither good nor bad.

Somewhere That’s Green by Meredith Russo - 4 stars
I felt like this story was the most representative of teenagers and high school feelings. Confusion, angst, naïveté, and infatuation. Nia was an amazing protagonist and I liked Lexie’s development.

The Way We Love Here by Dhonielle Clayton - 3.75 stars
I think this story was good, but not great. The characters were good and the story premise was good but I felt like something was missing. I’m not quite sure what it is, but it dropped my rating of it by a bit.

Oomph by Emery Lord - 4.25 stars
I wanted to love this story. Airport romance, Marvel references, and great characters. I really loved most of it, but I felt like the emotions were one-dimensional and I didn’t become connected to any of the characters because of that.

The Dictionary of You and Me by Jennifer L. Armentrout - 5 stars
A library romance? Sign me up! This story had everything I could ask for in a story; books, libraries, high school setting, intriguing mystery boy, and amazing main character. I loved this story so so much. And the reveal? My fav by far.

The Unlikely Likelihood of Falling in Love by Jocelyn Davies - 4.25 stars
This story was great, but I feel like I never really connected to the characters. It made everyone’s daydream encounter into a complex data project with a happy ending, and I loved it.

259 Million Miles by Kass Morgan - 3.5 stars
I liked the concept, however it was so “I AM A DYSTOPIAN STORY” that it felt off. I liked the forced proximity part, however if the ending was different I would have liked it more.

Something Real by Julie Murphy - 4 stars
This encompassed my thoughts watching a reality show. I really liked it; the romance and emotions. But I didn’t love it. Not sure why, but overall a good story.

Say Everything by Huntley Fitzpatrick - 3.75 stars
After reading the short description, I wanted to like this. But there was no character development nor explanation of why there was a feud between Emma and Sean, only passing references like “his father made our family lose everything” Okay, but how??? Disappointing, but still a fine story.

The Department of Dead Love by Nicola Yoon - 4.5 stars
This book had a great premise and I loved imagining the department in my mind. However, I wish there was more chemistry between Thomas and Gabby, I just didn’t see it super clearly. But still a great story.

All in all, this anthology was good. A fun read that is perfect for short periods of time with nothing to do. I definitely recommend if you like YA romance.

I loved this collection of short stories! Meet Cutes are one of my favorite tropes and this book also features a lot of queer/diverse rep, so that made it even better! Some stories I enjoyed more than others, but all in all, soooo good! :D
