I loved this addition of the Queen's POV. I may hate her, but I loved this novella. You also get a look into Wolf's childhood which was depressing, but not as depressing as The Little Android, in my opinion.

The story takes place on the moon within the Lunar settlement. It's not like anything I expected. A boy, Z, is taken from his family to undergo alterations and brutal training.

I do hope Z makes an appearance in the rest of the series. Probably won't but... ok yes, he's my new favorite. (♥_♥) <-- Already forgot about Prince Charming. Hahaha.

It's interesting and has a very different feel compared to Cinder, so where it's not needed for the series, (at least not yet for me), I still recommend it.

*Update as of 06/10/2013 Contains Spoiler*

Spoiler I read Scarlet and this is now officially a MUST READ (~.^)

A peek into Wolf's humble beginning.

I read this after finishing Scarlet and I'm pretty sure this bonus story made me love Wolf even more. He's such a complex character that has gone through so many unfathomable things. This story also answered a lot of my questions about how the transformation process worked, so overall, I think this story was worth reading!

Fantastiskt!

This was a very interesting novella that offered insight into Queen Channary's army. The dynamics were gruesome and the options were terrible, but it was intriguing nonetheless. Good novella, excited for Scarlett.

3.5 stars.
I loved taking a look into wolf's (Ze'ev) past and the army dynamics were interesting to me.

While I already knew most of the information (having read all the books years ago) I still enjoyed the novella and seeing his thoughts.
