This book is could be relatable to people who suffer with body image I also can't wait to read more to see if she will come to love the beauty in herself.

i originally was reading the webtoon for free, however i do really like owning physical books so i bought this copy. this series is entertaining, but it does have a trigger warning for body dysmorphia, body shaming, and bullying. i think it's a bit problematic to push this ideal of needing beauty to be worth something, but it is still just a silly series to read.

2.5-3 stars ⭐️  idk I’m conflicted

~

💗so…okay I read this is one sitting & I found it entertaining

💗I’m hoping in the next volume our FMC Jugyeong starts to gain some more confidence without her makeup & get some recognition

💗this book doesn’t send a good message about accepting yourself (at least not yet…maybe it will in future volumes/episodes) —even her own brother is like yeah no one will like you without makeup 😵‍💫

💗this can feel definitely relatable about feeling insecure about how you look growing up & feeling like you need to mask it with things to make you seem “flawless” like a ton of makeup—I’ve definitely been there…but I’m hoping we move away from that thought narrative soon

💗I really enjoyed her and Suho at the comic store & her recommending him what to read, him admitting he knows who she is with & without makeup & them starting to spend time together (the arcade was cute)

💗another “pretty girl” I think starts to feel threatened by Jugyeong or sees her as competition idk but she’s messing with her & I don’t trust her

💗the art was pretty btw

💗I’ll be reading the next to see how this goes wish me luck 🤞🏼
