I chose this book because I was in a bad mood, and wanted something quick and "edgy" to read. Culkin makes the point that this is not a biography, and not a book to be taken seriously. I suspect that is partly true, but much of the book reads like I would expect -- random, depressed, mature beyond his years. Lonely. Some of it, by virtue of what I've read about his life, must be true. It is a quick read, and insightful in profound ways. Sometimes thought provoking. Sometimes funny. Sometimes very sad and lonely. If much of this autobiographical, then I wish the writer peace...

It's part memoir, part writing guide.Who knew that Macaulay Culkin knew how to write? Junior is snarky and witty and surprises the reader with some if its insights.

unlike many, I found Junior to be quite an enjoyable read. If you take it for what it is, instead of trying to force it into a genre it wasn't meant to be in, it's a pretty decent book!

I loved this book but fair warning, Junior isn't for everyone. It's a "fictional" book but I have to wonder how much of Macauly Culkin's real life is between the pages. The book is all over the place and really doesn't have a plotline. But I still loved it. My favorite part was the poem "Spaces In Wrong Places" on page 38 (hardcover version). The poem alone made me smile.

Well, over all this book was readable. It had choppy pieces and long rambling rants, but these all seemed to flow to tell a story of the man writing it.
The author wants you to believe that both he, and you, learned something at the end. I'm not sure I did. It doesn't make me want to watch Home Alone again, though.
