The books where the teenagers genuinely act like adults and the adults act like teenagers.  It’s just not the vibe.

The fact Aria’s mom never noticed how creepy her new boyfriend was to her daughter was just weird.  Emily dating someone new, Hanna fighting over a boy with Kate.  Spencer trying to find her biological family and it blowing up in her face.  It was all over the top as usual and I feel like most things are getting rather repetitive with the bad decisions.

This installment was very "middle of the road" for me until the end - THAT ENDING. WHAT IS EVEN HAPPENING. This series legitimately feels like a fever dream, and I'm here for it haha! All of the storylines in this one were bizarre to me, but the standout was Spencer for me, I can't wait until everything hits the fan in future books! I do have an issue with how topics like sexual harassment and adult/minor relationships are discussed so flippantly in these - Xavier is a WEIRDO and senior boys fighting over a seventh grader is....yikes.
