This was a super cute graphic novel, focused on Bittle’s first two years on Samwell’s hockey team. It was really fast paced and time jumped often which kept things interesting. I would’ve liked if it slowed down a little or included more character development, but overall I really enjoyed it! I can’t wait to read book 2!

Maybe a 3.75 *?

I thought this was such a nice read. I was entertained the whole way through... until the end. The edition I got had all the tweets Bitty (the main character) made throughout the story and I got super bored very quick. I actually had to bail on reading the string of tweets. Other than that characters were all different and felt like real people. The main relationship might have been a little too slow burn and then spontaneous realization of love but I will let it slide this time. Overall a super cute LGBTQ+ read.

THIS BOOK IS SO CUTE!! As massive fan of queer ya the synopsis of ‘a gay ex-figure skater collage kid who joins his schools hockey and is absolutely obsessed with baking’ instantly excited me!!

I’ve never been a comic or graphic novel reader but this is perfect for comic veterans and newbies alike! The art is great and the storyline is adorable! Despite focusing on a bunch of dude bros there is no toxic masculinity in sight, the team has a great relationship and really shows that boys can be sensitive and loving regardless of their sexual orientation!!

I particularly loved how swoon worthy face, he has a fantastic love interest smoulder which you just know Bitty is going to fall for!!

I definitely recommend this to any fans of fluffy cute queer lit! It’s not overly romantic nor is it for sports fans only. So don’t let the Hockey topic turn you off, I know nothing about Hockey and barely care about sport in general!

I can’t wait for volume 2!

This was my first graphic novel and it was so cute. I started it online and i think it was really fun to get to finish it in book form.

⭐️REVIEW⭐️

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My school is big into hockey and everyone’s been telling me to read this one so I figured I better get it in before the season’s over. And I’m so glad I did, this was absolutely adorable.

Eric is just the sweetest and most adorable thing to ever grace this planet. And Jack was great too, I loved the backstories for both of them and how they’re able to help each other with their problems. So cute. 😭 Shitty gets a shoutout for being such a solid dude too. What a guy.

If you’re looking for something short and sweet, this one’s for you! Very feel-good which was much appreciated.
