Cute and funny. I liked it and it was very enjoyable read. Quotes before every chapter were a comic plus!

I heard about this book in a podcast named Geek's Guide to the Galaxy. It was described as being something out of this world.
And I'm happy to tell you, it does stand up to the praise after all.

It is more a situational comedy book set in a fantasy world. You can watch as the main characters are causing confusion and mayhem and getting out of tricky situations with just their wits. Everyone is confused except the reader. The language is beautifully lucid.

Most books have chapter names. This book has a quote for each chapter and it is the perfect quote for the occasion too. I loved it how well the quotes fit the chapters.

It might have been written for children but I think that people of any age can easily enjoy this.

It's a fun story, if you go in with managed expectations it can be very enjoyable.

Mildly amusing. Nothing that would compel me to read the following books, but I will try his Phule SciFi series.

Ok, das Buch hat mir mehr spaß gemacht als es hätte machen sollen.

Aber diese falschen Zitate... die sind komplett eingerostet. Waren die damals schon so schlecht oder hatte ich damals nur ein einfacheres Gemüt?

Okay I admit it. I've never read any of Robert Aspirin's Myth books before. Oh, I've MEANT to read them for years. In fact, I have owned this very volume since approximately 1989. This book has followed me through probably 6 or 7 moves including a trip across country. So finally finally finally I ripped it down off the shelf and read it within a few days. Okay. I don't know why I've waited so long. It's really pretty good.

Skeeve is a sweet and naive young man (sweet considering that prior to his apprenticeship to the Wizard Garkin he considered a career in thievery). But, after witnessing the assassination of Garkin he finds himself apprenticed now to Aahz. Aahz is also a nice enough fellow considering that he's a Pervert (That's Pervect!!! Thank you very much) with green scaly skin and a purple tongue. I'm sure that won't attract any attention at all. Together, they set off on an often humorous adventure to get even, or get Aahz's powers back...or something.

It was fun!
