Good.

This was a good story. I liked the characters and there were some funny parts. I did feel, though, that the theme was repetitive. No one was good enough for the partner they chose.

Interesting story, loved the characters.

I rather enjoyed this book. Once I got into it i couldn't put it down. Interesting PI storyline, but loved the overall theme.

This needs to be your next summer read. Go get yourself a copy and lie by some large body of water with your sun hat and read this. While there were some seriously angsty moments where I had to force some deep breaths most of the book is witty and fun, with some laugh out loud hilarious thrown in there.

Blaire, PI Firm co-owner takes a case before she realizes that it’s finding out whether Jessie, her “one that got away” is cheating on his estranged wife. Throw in getting stuck in a pantry, Jessie’s hot man-bun sporting best friend Colin, and a swing... I’m not joking. Go get yourself a copy. Totally worth it.

✨Pro-tip: I alternated between reading and listening to this one and it was even better than reading alone. Joe Arden is consistently great and while Kristin Watson Heintz was new to me, I loved the way she read Blaire’s character. It was exactly how it sounded in my head.

I received an e-ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This hilarious emotional book was a great treat to my New Adult list! Rachel van Dykan has climbed up to my top list quite fast and she is also one of my auto-buy authors!

Blaire is a PI, and one who is a badass too! Her job is to find out the cheating husbands prove their cheating in...a live Facebook feed. Seeing her ex, Jessie, again as a client wouldn't be as hard if it weren't for Colin, the sexy, funny and filthy rich hotel owner.

From there we dive into a spiral of texts, hiding spots, many hilarious moments and lots of emotional scenes. You'll love this book! It's amazing and not easy to forget!

I really enjoyed this book. It had some great laugh out loud moments and the couple was great together. Definitely a quick read for romance book readers out there!

I loved Colin. He was funny and snarky and sexy. A man bun is typically not my thing but spinning it as Tarzan made it sexier. I loved the back and forth between Colin and Blaire. But the story was very similar to Fraternize. A former boyfriend that had always been a what if and a new prospect that was friends with the ex. Confusion about who she wants and who is just a dream.
I liked the female friendship.

This is the first book on the new series by RVD.
As the blurb explains this is about catching cheaters.
Jessie, Blaire and Collin are the three POV in this story.
Jessie and Blaire has a relationship before he left her behind to pursue his career, Collin is Jessie's friend who is very interested in Blaire.
This book is very funny and I really laughed through lots of it.
I did find Jessie a bit annoying, I wanted them to have a showdown about the original breakup and the effect his moving on had inherited but that never really happened. He was also such a smuck with his wife/ex-wife I found him annoying but I this book is his journey into realising that about himself.
Ilsa was a secondary characters, business partner to Blaire and she was really funny.

ARC.

Dirty Exes was kind of ridiculous and quite unrealistic, but it was a lot of fun. I was hooked from the moment I found out Colin had a POV. I didn't care for Jessie's POV and Blaire wasn't the strongest protagonist, so Colin was the star character for me. He was well developed and he also brought out the best in Blaire. The Dirty Exes business was unique and funny, so there was a good amount of shenanigans amidst the romance. The book was paced really well and I easily read this in one sitting. I really wanted to know what happened between the three characters and the ending was satisfying enough. I'm not too pleased with the epilogue, but I hope that will get addressed in the final draft.

A copy of this book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley.
