This book's broken me. I enjoyed it so much. It's kind of difficult to read but you just have to get into the style of writing. Then you'll find it fine.

SpoilerThe last chapter was the most amazing thing I've read. When the daemon appeared by Victor's coffin, I even cried. Thank you Marry Shelley for mental breakdown. I really appreciate it.

REALLY LIKED IT

it feels kind of weird to rate classics so i’m just going to leave it with no stars but i really enjoyed it, especially the beginning, the middle was kind of hard to understand what was happening all the time but the ending really saved everything!!

Lo disfrute enormemente. Me hace pensar sobre el ser monstruo, y el ¿Se nace monstruo o se hace? Me voy más por la última.

I just finished listening to this book as read by Kenneth Branagh--an experience I highly recommend. I read this book some years ago and loved it, and listening to it was every bit as fun the second time around.

This is not a horror book by any definition of the genre. It is a gothic literature book that requires the reader to think about good and evil, love and hate, and what makes us human, or not human. It is a treatise on the philosophy and the ethics of science. It was written two hundred years ago (200!!) and yet is still just as relevant to the questions we ask ourselves today about where science is taking us.

Shelley wrote this when she was 19 years old, if you can believe that! The language is so beautiful and the story is so heartbreaking.
If you haven't, read it. If you have, read it again ;).
