Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Read this for HEA Book Club and overall I enjoyed it! It was a breezy read, but I still wanted just a little more character development. Our FMC and MMC don’t go on a big development journey throughout the book. They seem largely the same at the end - just married.
Some scenes also moved a little too quickly. Of a book with Paris in the title, we’re certainly not in the City of Love for very long. (Though the 🌶️ on the Eiffel Tower is probably one of my favorite parts.)
Again, this just left me wanting a little bit more. The next in the series is sapphic so I may still check it out.
Moderate: Xenophobia, Colonisation, and Racism
Minor: Death of parent, Gun violence, and Mental illness

My only criticism is that this heavily relied on the two characters just not talking to each other which is something I struggle with... it makes me very frustrated as the reader. BUT I still thoroughly enjoyed the fake marriage trope.
Moderate: Sexual content, Alcohol, Emotional abuse, Gaslighting, Misogyny, and Death of parent
Minor: Forced institutionalization, Sexism, Colonisation, Toxic relationship, and Fire/Fire injury

Spoiler
I feel like the fact that they were already attracted to each other and making out and stuff kind of undercuts the marriage of convenience idea. Like "we're attracted to each other but no we're definitely not in love, what are you talking about, this is purely a business arrangement" was a bit odd.Graphic: Misogyny, Sexism, and Sexual content
Moderate: Racism and Colonisation
Minor: Abandonment and Fire/Fire injury
Abandonment - references to character's past. Fire - off-screen arson/fires set on buildings
