2.5 - If you like reading books about trauma bonding with highly unlikeable characters that all have variations of the same name, then this might be the book for you.

Read it for my 12th grade English class. Beautiful imagery and diction, but simple enough to be a casual read. Perfect for those who love drama. There is something out there for those hopeless romantics, but I wouldn't consider it if you're specifically looking for a romance novel (Especially a happy one). For the first half of the novel, it was an emotional roller coaster. About halfway in, the plot takes a new turn that I didn't find as interesting, which was slightly disappointing. Fantastic novel overall.

I was expecting more ghosts and was sorely disappointed 

all of the characters are so terrible I can't care about any of them, and then I don't have any reason to care about the plot. at least it sets the tone properly. I just had a hard time appreciating any of it
