This was a quick fun read that has some romance elements to it, but I also appreciate the character growth outside of the romance. I've been getting annoyed at books that switch POVs too much lately, but I did appreciate getting to read some the other characters' POVs in this one.

An easy read to get through, with a nice romance but also touching on important topics such as fatphobia and abortion without ever getting too dark.

Messages were too overt and basic. Characters not totally likeable.

Not my favorite Jenn Weiner book but I liked it well enough! Lots of different plots happening at once, super bummed Rochester wasn't mentioned more, felt like the character growth/ mother-daughter parallels were a little forced? But overall not upset I read it!

I really enjoyed this, the way I usually enjoy Jennifer Weiner's work. Abby, a woman in a relationship with a podiatrist, leads a group of bicyclists on a summer tour. There is a mixed bag of people on the tour, including her brother, a young teen girl and her mother, and the guy she spent a fabulous night with a couple of years ago.

Throughout the tour, we discover secrets about many of the people and learn that Abby isn't as happy as she thinks in her relationship. Will the mysterious Sebastion, the one-night stand man, be the right man for her? Will she ever make her mother happy?

This book makes me want to get my bike out of the garage, pump up the tyres and go for a spin. I'm not sure if my knees could take it, but my heart wants me to do it!

I loved how Jennifer Weiner showed empathy for all of the characters in the novel, not just the most likable characters. It reminded me that everyone has their own trauma and  a reason for behaving the way they do and we should not overlook this. At some points I was a bit annoyed with the protagonist’s perceptions of others, but by the end of the novel she became self aware of some of her biases. Overall the book was fun and I felt like I was on a trip with the characters.
