this was the first time I've ever listened to an audiobook so I'm still assessing if this was to the story's determent or betterment (leaning more towards the latter than former) but it's a relevatively 'safe' storyline; in the sense that I could easily foresee the ending quite early on. Nevertheless, the book is carried by important discussions around 'cancel culture', social media, sexism, romantic and platonic relationships etc — most of which was not that profound to me, but hopefully, spurred some readers to contemplate more about these topical issues.
Graphic: Sexism, Suicide attempt, Rape, Infidelity, Toxic relationship, Toxic friendship, Misogyny, Medical trauma, Suicidal thoughts, Sexual violence, Suicide, and Sexual assault

A good exploration of the effects of cancel culture, true and false accusations.
Sometimes it all felt a bit redundant, like why aren't you talking to him? Why is everyone taking such extreme sides but I guess it's the truth of it all. Interesting exploration of Michaels character, is he a bad guy if he recognises his mates saying bad stuff but continues to hang out with them? Also bro, stop drinking and punching things like be proactive about your situation. Idk it was good but also a bit infuriating

I had a lot of mixed feelings about this book. The overall plot was interesting but the pacing felt off. I started the book pretty engaged but by the end I felt out of touch and uninterested.
The concept of this book was very interesting and really dives into cancel culture and how toxic social media can be. I feel like it's one of those books that really makes you question how you act and engage online.
I'm interested to see how this book is perceived in the book world because I really feel like it missed the mark :(
A big thank you to BiblioLifestyle for a copy of this for a book tour!
