Как будто бы понимаю, что это должно быть «хорошо» по меркам современной русской прозы, но мне совсем не откликается.

Мрак, местами описанный интересным языком, но все же беспросветный мрак, который, несмотря на злободневность, почему-то не задел ни одной струны моей души. 3 звезды за пейзажи, описания рыбалки с дедом и арбуза с хлебом.
