I can't really rate it since I read this book without having read the first 2 in the trilogy (By accident!)

I know, how can that happen?
Well it was before Goodreads and my mom bought me the book without knowing it was part of a series. It was a long time ago, but I don't recall ever having seen on the cover any hint that it was a trilogy...

Anyways, I didn't like it (not surprisingly) but it was given an unfair chance since i had no context.

I shall have to read the whole trilogy one day when I have time... from BOOK ONE. XD

I really enjoyed the ending of this book, but I felt it was a bit long in parts. Although it kept me entertained the whole way, I felt that it didn't really need to be that long. Just an opinion though. Good series overall, but I much prefer the Black Jewels books by Anne Bishop.

I love Anne Bishop. It doesn't matter how many times I reread this, I cry like a baby every time.

3.5 stars for this book and for the whole series

I found this book as well as the whole series was more world building orientated then character development. with so many characters and perspectives it showed vast aspects of the world, but i never really fell in love with any specific character. I loved the world, the magic and the plot was taken directly out of our own history but given a fairy/witch take, but i found i wanted more.
the book/series is under Fantasy romance , and yes there is some romance but very minor on the side. (there was so many normal girl meets boy romance throughout the series that i wished for just one queer romance , like there this one friendship that if it became a lesbian romance i would have given this book a 5 stars, but unfortunately that romance will have to only exist in my dreams).

Overall, as always I enjoyed Anne Bishops writing style, I didn't like how some of the battle scene were written , but overall it was easy to read and enjoyable.
This book completed the series and the ending was decent but definitely I think could have been improved, but I was still happy at the end.
