Plot developed very slowly and I couldn’t get into the story.

Some said the us was better than the first one. I enjoyed the first more but it was still enjoyable. Look forward to the third. Each one is a 14 hour listen, so that’s saying something. The characters are fun, and I love their adventures.

This made me sad. I tried to listen to this as an audiobook and abandoned it. I loved Wildwood, loved Meloy's tale and the characters he created. But this one was so so boring. I abandoned it early because it was way too heavy on exposition, description, and way too light on action. I don't think kids who liked Wildwood will make it through, either. But they might surprise me.
