This book brought me back to the love of these characters and the story. I have watched and loved the show and Legend of Korra. I figured why not pick these up but I was waiting to see if they were ever going to make an animation of this part at some point but, it might take forever so here I am reading the graphic novels because I'm impatient. I wish I read these sooner because they came out in like 2012 and I'm just now reading them. Better later than never though. I love this edition because it has the author and illustrator's notes on the side of the book and it was interesting to learn what their thoughts were throughout reading it. I also like that it includes 3 parts. It leaves off where the show ended where Katara and Aang are together, the new Fire Lord is Zuko and Tophe has a metal bending school. I just love it so much. Can't wait to get the next one.

I felt like I was right back with my favorite characters--I could hear Sokka and Toph's voice in my head, and it was amazing. My one complaint was the same as Sokka's ... "sweetie"?! Ew. Get a different term of endearment, Aang and Katara!

Got this (and the other two stories) from the library today. This edition is huge and heavy, but that allows for the annotations/commentary in the margins, which I quite like.

I forgot how much I enjoy spending time with these characters, so I had a good time with the story. I can't wait to read the next one!
