Not the best of the lot, but pretty fun all the same

When a fortune teller from a previous case informs Agatha Raisin that her destiny--and true love--lies in Norfolk, she promptly rents a cottage in the quaint village of Fryfam.

Agatha goes off on holiday to Fryfam. Suddenly, she sees little lights that flicker and disappear - then things are being nicked around the house.

She decides in a fit of pride to write a book, and eventually, the plot she devised becomes a reality, and she is a suspect!
Again, Sir Charles Fraith to the rescue. They are such a fun detective pair.

Really enjoyed this one.

Another fun Agatha Raisin mystery, with an ending I never saw a coming!

I find it odd that Beaton chose to follow up [b:Agatha Raisin and the Witch of Wyckhadden|897141|Agatha Raisin and the Witch of Wyckhadden (Agatha Raisin, #9)|M.C. Beaton|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1391755881s/897141.jpg|334996] with another book where Agatha is away from Carsley. This book suffered in comparison, having a much less engaging mystery -- all the sitting around in rooms, discussing the clues of the case reminded me of [a:Dorothy L. Sayers|8734|Dorothy L. Sayers|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1206564934p2/8734.jpg]' [b:Have His Carcase|246231|Have His Carcase (Lord Peter Wimsey, #8)|Dorothy L. I'm pleased that there's apparently some momentum in Agatha and James', and Agatha and Charles', relationships now. I'm looking forward to
SpoilerAgatha and James' romance hopefully going down in complete flames
in the next book.

I think I'm done with Agatha for now. It's getting very repetetive.

The previous book was a bit of a let-down due to the lack of the murder’s discoveries. But since this one features Sir Charles more in it, it was very refreshing. His comedic side adds a nice touch
