This is very much a "all the trigger warnings" very seriously kind of book but it's a really good read nonetheless

The last chapter of the book was honestly my favorite part especially with it going back and forth between her and her mom's timeline

I don't have much to say besides READ. THIS. BOOK. Anyone wants a suggestion for a good memoir to read this is it

Full of heart and grit, devastation and humor. The prose is on point, often breathtaking. The characters, complex. T Kira Madden shows us we were all once children, and we never quite grow out of what we grow up seeking. A tender coming of age about a girl finding herself and her family.
