Let me start by saying I loved the relationship between Chris and Sara and how there has been so much growth between them throughout this series. Not to mention their chemistry is electric! That said, I was a little let down by the ending on this one. For a series that has been full of cliffhangers, I thought for certain things would be wrapped up and the reader would be provided closure. Unfortunately, that's not the case.

***Apparently this isn't the last book in the "trilogy"***

WTH? I kept repeating throughout this book. This is the end this will all be tied up in a neat little package and everything will be clear to me now. Uh...not so much.
While it does bring Sara and Chris to a happy place, a nice enough place for me to be satisfied with their story, it leaves other things wide open!
Did I say satisfied? I mean I don't think I'll ever be satisfied enough to be ready to let go of Chris. Hot, blonde, artistic, controlling, protective, rich, AND he is always in jeans and graphic tee's. Dreamy! I'm not usually a fan of the word baby as a term on endearment but when it's coming from him it's the hottest word EVER!

This book controlled me, much like I wish Chris would, from the first word to the very last. I couldn't wait to turn the pages to see what would happen next! There was a perfect amount of BDSM without going over the edge and making me lose interest. Sara's strength and determination was a welcome trait that had me pulling for her to break through to Chris's dark side and heal him. The introduction of Tristan & Ember gave the story just enough drama and had me questioning how they fit into Chris's past. I wasn't disappointed.

I'm eager as ever to read book the next books to see how the rest of the story works out. I'm intrigued by Mark and can't wait to find out what's next for him? What about Ella, where is she and will she be ok?

I had really high hopes for this series/trilogy because the premise is so good.. but the whole thing fell really flat... the author could have done amazing things with this series.. it could have been suspenseful and mysterious but it wasn't... and I couldn't even finish the last book...

Of the 3 books in the series, I liked not loved this one. We do see some loose ends tied up but in a lot of ways, it's more of the same. The story shifts to Paris and we discover more of Chris's life before Sara. However, it all seems a little anticlimactic compared to other events in the series. There is more of the same drama. Chris tries to protect Sara by making decisions and leaving her in the dark because he is afraid of either her reaction or revealing too much to her about himself. I kind of wanted everyone to just man up, put their cards on the table and move on. There were some outside forces causing drama but mostly it just caused the same push and pull between the 2 main characters as opposed to something new occurring to the characters. It had a sweet ending which was worth getting to.

A great end to the trilogy. I look forward to reading more from Ms Jones and that epilogue has me dying to know more.

Chris and Sara go to Paris! This book is nowhere shy of action. While their relationship can often times be predictable, I still find myself being constantly surprised. I can't wait to see where some of the other relationships in the book go!

**This review contains spoilers for previous books and novellas in this series**

So as the book opens Sara and Chris are reeling from the news that Rebecca is likely dead, killed by Ava, who also tried to kill Sara. Ella is still missing, we’ve learned that Mark was indeed Rebecca’s Master. Their life has been turned on it’s side.

Sara decides she will follow Chris to France, to heal their relationship and get a new start. Turns out things in Paris are no less tumultuous. From the moment they arrive everything goes wrong. Pick-pocketed in the airport Sara’s bag and passport are stolen. She’s a stranger in a strange land and she doesn’t speak the language. And all the while she feels there is a specter hovering over them. Chris’s past intrudes, Amber, a pushy tattoo artist from his past, another sex club, so many secrets. The search for Ella meets dead ends at every turn, although it appears she is still alive and has gotten tied up with an unsavory character. The Embassy has denied the renewal of her passport, and her intrepid French tutor becomes her closest ally.

And all this time Chris is promising to reveal his “secret” which he fears will tear them apart.

The book is a wild ride, and until the very last page I wasn’t sure where we’d end up. It was another gripping chapter in this series, and I truly look forward to the next. Will we find out where Ella is, whether Chris can move beyond the demons of his past, what is it that Amber holds over his head. The well paced and well written story will keep you turning pages and on the edge of your seat until the last word of the epilogue.

My thanks to Netgalley who provided this book in exchange for an honest review.
