She and Her Cat is one of those books that quietly tugs at your heartstrings. I loved how it explores the relationships between different cats and their owners, each story offering a unique perspective on the bond we share with our pets. The cats in these stories aren't just pets—they’re companions who bring comfort, understanding, and even a bit of mystery into the lives of their humans. It was a gentle reminder of the subtle yet powerful ways our furry friends become such an essential part of our world.
Having watched the animated movie before reading the book, I noticed some interesting differences. The movie focuses more on the story of Chobi and his owner Miyu, giving it a more focused, intimate feel. While I enjoyed the movie, the book takes a broader approach, offering multiple stories that explore various cat-owner relationships. This made the book feel richer and more expansive, as it delves into different lives and experiences while still keeping that same warmth and connection that the movie had.
Overall, I really enjoyed She and Her Cat. The different stories brought out the uniqueness of each cat, and it was lovely to see how their presence impacted their owners in such meaningful ways. It's a book that leaves you feeling warm and reminds you of how much joy and comfort our cats bring into our lives, often without us even realizing it.

Dual point of you from cats vs their owners. The Story is quite short as you get to know different cats and owners which somehow relate to each other (the cats).
Really good written. For a person who loves cats (like me) absolutly amazing. In general really cute but still includes topics like Depression.
Highly recommend for a nice, quick read that still has a lot of substance to it!!

This was a very wholesome and calming book. There were parts that were a bit bizarre but on the whole I found it quite charming. It was also very serendipitous that the first cat was found in spring when we've just found our Freyja this spring.
