THE TEASE is the third installment in The Virgin Society series. It can be read as a complete stand alone. There are mentions of past couples/situations from the first two books but it doesn't take away from the story's comprehension. But I will definitely be going back to read The Crush, The RSVP and The Tryst!!

Jules Marley has been dying to get an invite to a very upscale, masquerade at an exclusive secret club, The Scene. When one of her friends asks her to fill in and play piano for the night Jules jumps at the chance. What she doesn't expect is to meet a very handsome masked man. Something about this man makes her feel seen in a way she never has. When her break turns into more than she could have ever wanted and leaves her wanting so much more.

Finn Adams is finally getting over his divorce and finding out he's the father to a seven year old. When he goes to the masquerade party he isn't expecting much but to talk to a few old friends. He never expects to be drawn to the woman playing piano. After a chance meeting in a dark corner in the library all bets are off. He has to see her again.

When Jules finds out that her masked man is best friends with her dad she knows she can't make Finn choose between her and his best friend. She tries to do what she thinks is right but something is pulling these two together again and again.

This one brought out all the emotions. It was hot and heavy from the beginning, Finn was swoon-worthy, and the heart break between a father and daughter still wrapped in their grief. AND I LOVED IT ALL!! I was so invested in Finn and Jules. Finn's need to protect her without overstepping and Jules giving up the guilt she's felt for years. They do end up being perfect for each other.

I can't wait to jump into the rest of the series I have clearly been missing out on!

I was given a free copy of this book.

Lauren Blakely ends her The Virgin Society series on a high with Jules Marley and Finn Adams's forbidden romance in The Tease. There's the age gap (she's twenty-five, he's forty) and the fact that he's her father's best friend. I loved Jules's independent and fiery spirit, and the single parent trope is one of my personal favorites, and Finn certainly fit the bill. There's the expected heat, but as always, the author delivers on the heart as well. Four stars!

Finn and Julia were great! amazing chemistry, and the spice was good. there wasn’t a major third act breakup which I loved.

Jules just might be a woman after my own heart. Her love of role play speaks to my girlish fantasies.. and when she finds someone, who she doesn’t know, who is willing to indulge that love of role-play with her.. well. That’s just the cherry on top!! But.. when she inadvertently finds out who he is and how she knows him.. she’s a bit disappointed. How could it work? She would never ask him to give up a friendship.. with her father.

Oh.. so NOW you want to read it? Good. Jules and Finn have a connection that is hard to find, and they have one night.. just one night together. But will they be able to stay away? That’s what makes it so fun to read. They are great people, both of them, but Jules comes to trust Finn and finds herself sharing things about herself and her past that she’s never told another person about; not even her therapist. Wait till you read it!

Lauren Blakely’s writing skill is beyond the norm… and these characters are som elf my favorites.. I love her writing.. I love the characters, and I really could live in this world because the characters are so very real.. Thank you Lauren Blakely… your writing is top of the line for me.

Jules is 25 living in New York and is a junior production coordinator. She has had major loss in her life, she has also felt betrayal that has kept parts of herself locked away.
One night when she agrees to cover for her friend playing piano at a exclusive, masquerade party she meets a man who brings out all the desires she kept tucked away.
A Chance encounter at her fathers office reveals that the mystery man she met at the party is none other than her fathers best friend Finn.
Finn is a 40 year old, venture capitalist and divorced single dad. All he has been able to think about is that woman he met at the masquerade party, but when the next party comes around and his mystery woman keeps avoiding him, a confrontation puts all the pieces together and standing before him is his friends daughter.
They agree to one night together, where they can give into what they feel and get it out of their systems. But one night proves to be more difficult than either of them thought.

I really enjoyed this book, I love a fathers best friend ,
age gap (15 yes), secret romance. Loved how Finn was always so understanding and patient when it came to Jules OCD, and anxiety. And his devotion to his son was unmatched. I also really enjoyed seeing Jules journey through therapy and her growth and forgiveness.
