This was a BOTM choice and the first actual paper book I’ve picked up in at least a year. I started it before bed, something to just wind down, and after reading late, was up early to finish it the next morning. The story was fast paced, characters believable enough, and while I found the ending far fetched, it has stuck with me. Mission accomplished: enjoyable read.

I think I expected more from a book with such a long wait list at the library. It was good at first and then became ridiculous.

2.5 stars. An easy book to gulp down, which is probably the best way to experience. Successful as a discussion title, and this is notable given that the group largely loved the book and was not disposed to critique. Though not to my personal taste, I would suggest to those looking for diversion or an undemanding palate-cleanser.
