A really fascinating history of tea and its cultural implications on the world. I wish it went into more depth in some places but I feel like the size of this book was still adequate to get a good grasp and understanding of tea.

An overall great read about the history and science of the tea industry that reads easily. You will learn a LOT about tea in this book if that is what you're looking for, and it made me so happy to learn so easily! Does touch on serious issues in the tea industry and exploitative practices (detailed in tags), but not as detailed as those issues truly deserve, and sometimes with odd inaccuracies. In particular a wild mis-dating and mis-usage of the term/chemical "heroin"???

Đây là một cuốn sách khá bình thường. Kiến thức nó đưa ra cũng rất bình thường và nó rất giống với một cuốn sách giáo khoa trà thcs :)
Nói chung là nó quay quanh những món trà từ: nguồn gốc, lịch sử á trung đông..., sự phát triển ở á và âu,... Cách viết tác giả thì thật sự rất giống đọc sách giáo khoa. Mình mong chờ một thứ quan điểm gì ấy thì cô tác giả nhưng không. Mọi thứ như một cuốn textbook, sgk ý.
Một điểm nữa là các mục trong từng chương rất liên hoàn và loạn ấy.
Chê đủ rồi thì khen phát :) Thì dù là "sgk" nhưng cũng khá thú vị và cung cấp nhiều thứ hay ho về lịch sử. Và *teapower*

Charming book filled with lots of information on the history of tea and its impact on both those who produced it and those who consumed it.
I did find it amusing that there was a typo — a consistent typo. Throughout the entire book, the word “afford” was replaced with “affair.” Most amusing in its past tense.

I've been meaning to read history on tea and coffee, and it seems I've found this book and the content is satisfying. Doesn't seems like purely coming out of Wiki, though. Reading such details non-fiction book like this really gives me satisfaction.
