Genre: (Adult) Urban Fantasy
Happy Ever After: Yes
Romance: Kleiner Anteil, kein Love triangle

The series was actually pretty good - loved the fantasy aspects of it but THE ENDING. WAS. SO. BAD. I’m super pissed off about the ending - I read all 5 books in a row just for it to end SO terribly …

My heart hurts so much from this book. From Aubrey making me cry to watching Mack learn from her mistakes and how it helps to rely on those around her, I was really surprised by how much I ended up loving this book. I think the ending with Endo could have definitely been flushed out more because I still don’t fully understand how that worked out but honestly, I loved how the ending played out. I don’t think it’s for everyone but I thought it was a really unique approach and helped Mack get the life she deserves. I agree with a lot of the criticism I’ve seen about how everything ends, but I think the characters overpower that for me and make me enjoy it despite the inconsistencies and confusions.
