First, just let me say that I am a little jealous of Lucy Richardson's life. You know, except for the whole murder thing. Lucy works at Bodie Island's Lighthouse Library in the Outer Banks. Her apartment is just upstairs. She works and lives in a lighthouse that is also the town's library. I am pea green with envy!!

OK, so to the story. A man with a history, who used to live in Bodie Island as a young man, has come back after many years away in Alaska. When he's murdered, a slew of suspects come out and our young Ms. Richardson finds herself investigating yet another murder.

It's a quick read with well developed characters (there is a slight love triangle that frankly had me rolling my eyes, but yeh, whatever) who you want to get to know and like. A charming cozy murder mystery that is always a welcomed addition to anyone looking for a good book.

I just love this series. Lucy is such a wonderful heroine. She “picks” a guy in this one - Collin or Butch. There’s a little bit of politics, definitely a murder mystery, family dynamics and books!

I liked seeing Lucy work everything out. She is very determined and loyal. She keeps working to find the killer, because she wants to protect her friends and family. I admire that about her, even if it sometimes gets her into some crazy scrapes. I'm also glad she made a decision about this whole love triangle thing. I certainly am impressed with Eva Gates' ability to weave a story that is both entertaining and interesting.

I am glad the kind of/sort of love triangle ended, that was torture. Louise Jane continues to be one of my favorite secondary characters, and I still hope she takes over as the main character. Overall, this is easy listen series when I need something for house cleaning.

Love Steph- she's a great addition. Didn't love the choice of killer but overall a good tale.
