Full of falsehoods and fabrications. Problematic as heck. BUT with that understanding and detachment of time, it’s still quite a fascinating read from a cultural and literary perspective.

Not unlike reading Poe’s early scientific ‘framed as non-fiction’ travels to the moon in a hot air balloon.

The movie was better (I KNOW, shut up), but this was a fun read (and quite short).

It only took me so long to read this book, because I had to read it with my class.

Beautiful story told with elegance and Grace - along with a strong dose of humor and sarcasm. Mowat wisely focuses on the wolves rather than the discouraging and destructive ignorance of man, but that truth is relayed loud and clear.  I have not read much in this genre of nature. I will now.

From beginning to end I was completely enthralled. This story is absolutely amazing! The fact that it's based off of someone's actual experience is what makes it so moving to me, rather than crazy fictional stories that aren't even accurate. He teaches with a side of dry humour that I adore. I finished this book on two days, couldn't put it down!!
