Why did I put myself through this? I read these when I was in middle and high school and loved them. I am not sure why. This was awful.

It was full of weird cat stuff--like just total cat person affection way beyond the norm--plus the mystery itself just really never evolved.

The person who was killed died before the story began, the motives of the murder are totally unclear to me, and the manner in which the mystery was solved--by a Siamese cat using scrabble letters to warn his master--was well over the top.

Hiss.

I need a GOOD mystery series to get into. Anyone have recommendations?

These books are not heavy hitters and definitely take you back in time, but I almost feel like they felt that way even in the 80's! I still can't figure out why I like them! Some quirk in my personality!

Casual racism. Constant sexism. Written by a pick me girl.

Typical LJB. Easy, fluffy, fun.

Liked the book, but the ending was unsatisfactory - too many unanswered questions for me.

While I enjoy this series, this book was more difficult to get into. It was not set in Moose County, so very few familiar characters were involved, and the action was a bit choppy.

The impossible team of Qwilleran and his cats Koko and Yum Yum solve another mystery stumbled upon. It too, me a bit to get into, but the characters were interesting as is the topic. Should the crumbling Casablanca apartments be saved or torn down? Why does mayhem seem to befall those that want to see a restoration? I was glad to reach the end and find the answers.
