Don't like history? Don't worry! This thing reads like an action thriller instead of some dreary history lesson.

My first question is: how the HELL have I never heard of Simon Kenton?!??! This guy is a national hero who blows away the accomplishments of founding fathers who have household names. What a total stud. I am not going to ruin it for you and tell you about his adventures, but freaking guy was solid.

The book also takes us through the life of Tecumseh. What a total genius. It would be interesting to see what kind of life he would have led at other points in history. I mean, I look at Kenton, and can say that he was born at the perfect time for his wandering spirit, but Tecumseh seems like he could have done anything. Smart, tough, honest - an ideal leader.

Highly recommend this book to almost anyone. Great read!

Actually didn't make it through this book. Just too violent. Made me so sad to think this is the history of Ohio and surrounding states.
