Holiday, by Jiffy Kate

My rating: 4.5

Such a beautiful little novella, a sweet love story about meeting someone by chance and connecting in a way that is real, and true. I really enjoyed reading this little snippet of a story - and Meg was someone that I could instantly relate to, even though I had never really been in the position she was in, per say. Dylan is just the sweetest guy, and he somehow seemed to meet and exceed exactly what Meg needed on this little holiday in London. I really hope for more to their story in the future!

My favorite quote "I had lofty dreams of London, but none of those came close to this moment. In a random cafe, way past my bedtime, with the most beautiful man I've ever met. It's not what I had planned, it's so much better."

I really look forward to reading the rest of the shorts in this book as well! They all seem so perfect and romantic!

What the heart wants is an 'opposites attract' romance anthology. It's lighthearted, amusing and fun and provides a good mix of stories and characters from some great authors. Each story has its own spin on the opposites attract whether it be age, lifestyle, ambition, upbringing, etc.

I enjoyed the Summary provided by the authors before each story. It provides the right amount of background and gives an insight into the headspace of each character before going in.

I enjoyed most of the stories in this anthology and rated them all 3, r or 5 stars and rated the anthology 4 out 5 stars overall.
The stories that I found the most enjoyable to read, the best character interactions and would definitely have loved to have read more of are: Meet-Cute by Sydney Logan, Heart Strings by Melanie Moreland and A Still Life by Jo Richardson.

I kind of wish some of these stories get expanded or continue in some way.

I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way.

I love anthologies because there's usually a fun mix of authors and styles to please most tastes and WHAT THE HEART WANTS definitely did not disappoint! All of the stories are short and sweet, I was able to read each one pretty quickly. Of course, as the title says, each story is based on the idea that opposites attract. All of the stories were good, each one with their own happy ending. This book introduced me to some fantastic new authors...YAY, I'm always looking for new to me authors! DRIVE ME CRAZY by T.M. Franklin was witty, delightful and probably my favorite one. Ben is a college student and Uber driver who's not really happy with his life but doesn't know how to change it. Meeting the free spirited Lilli gives him the kick in the butt he needs to fix his life. I usually prefer reading from dual POVs but this story is written entirely from Ben's perspective and I totally enjoyed it. The plot was unique and refreshing, in a "stalker-ish" but fun way! I actually would love to see this one expanded on. The whole book is told from multiple POVs. I received, read and voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
