Listened to the audiobook. I guess by the time my borrow had gone through from the library I had forgot what the book was about but A spicy Christmas, sign me up! It was a fun and hot, wish there was more depth to their relationship but overall a pretty solid read.

This was GATS Book Club Pick for December. A Christmas spicy book with healthy body representation and 2 bi-sexual MCs - say less and take my money.

Overall, it was fun and entertaining read. If you like Hallmark movies but add some spice, this is the book for you.

It definitely took me awhile to get into. Some scenes were cringey to me, but other moments had me dying and I couldn’t stop the my laughing tears from rolling.

I struggled to see the romantic chemistry between the two, but the sexual tension was easy to see and acknowledge. I loved how body positive, sexual representation positive, and career positive this book was. While I love that, the whole “fat-shaming” seemed a little overplayed. Bee’s figure was absolutely beautiful and who doesn’t love curves on a woman. Hearing her pain about how so many people overlooked her because of her body size was heartbreaking and I loved how Nolan always told her she looked beautiful and he loved her body. Brownie points for you sir. But, the over usage of it was tiresome at best.

“Nolan Shaw unleashed was a beautiful thing, and he treated my body like it was his to plunder and a shrine to worship all at once.”

We have a reformed pop star with a troubled past trying to outrun who he was and to remake his name again. And then we have a newborn actress right out of the gates who only has experience in the porn industry who is trying to get a feel for what being a real actress would be like. No one can know Bee is a porn star, but her costar and lead knows exactly who she is, because he’s gotten off to her videos for years. And Bee always had a huge crush on the pop star. So sexual tension, clear as day. I couldn’t see the romance until the very end.

“I love you in front of the whole world.”

Read if you like: Christmas romance with spice, Hallmark-like vibes but it R-rated, small New England towns, body positivity, Bisexual MCs, big gestures to win over, spicy scenes (the altar scene lord have mercy), dream crushes come true

Closer to 2.5. I just wanted more out of this book. I liked some parts, I found some parts not necessary and others just cheesy.

Listened to as an audiobook on Audible.

Overall I enjoyed this. It was flipping hilarious and spicy and cute. And I always love books that have heroines that aren't virginal or inexperienced. Bee is a plus sized porn star so this is definitely not the case for her.

Really my biggest complaint with this book was in the audiobook department. While I love love love Sebastian York as a narrator, for me personally I didn't feel like he fit the character of Nolan in my head and what he would sound like. That's probably super picky and obviously a personal preference. Nolan is a bi bad boy ex-boy band member and Sebastian York's deep voice just didn't fit how I viewed him. I actually found myself preferring listening to the female narrator for Nolan's voice, which usually isn't the case for me. I will also say this was my first audiobook with Joy Nash and at first I wasn't a huge fan of her voice but she quickly grew on me and I ended up enjoying listening to her.

I am glad I consumed this book this year, it was cute, but I might have enjoyed it a little bit more reading it versus the audiobook. I felt like it dragged a bit at some points but that might just be because I was listening to it over several weeks as an audiobook.

I never knew how much I needed a Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone crossover book until I read this beauty.

A perfect combination of smut and wholesome holiday romance, this book had me laughing, swooning, and sweating!

Bee Hobbes (aka Bianca Von Honey) is a plus-size adult film star with a happy life and supportive parents. But when her director asks her to go undercover and star in a Christmas movie without her adult film star identity, Bee is suddenly excited and ready to go – although she hates deceiving everyone around her. Especially her costar, Nolan Shaw, who also happens to be her childhood popstar crush.

When the two of them hit it off – and I mean they HIT IT OFF!!! – each of them have secrets that begin to surface and attempt to keep them apart, but only they can truly decide what can get in the way of how they feel.

I loved this story. I loved Bee’s bravery, courage, and overall personality. I loved the growth and honesty that seemed to stem from Nolan and how he was always determined to right his wrongs. I loved the side characters and their friends and family – and I heard there will be another book for one of Nolan’s brothers … so I’m most definitely excited for that!

If you like smutty romcoms, this is most definitely the book for you! A small town romance with a bit of celebrity fame mixed in … you really can’t go wrong!
