A book series about political intrigue/machinations in a fantasy world, but mostly about gods and the intricacies of love.

The book is definitely violent but not in a battle way and has a lot of sex in it. The relationships are often quite toxic but there isn’t a lot of explicit abuse. It deals with mortality so themes of death and grief come with that.
